Method 1: Linking Google Analytics to Google Slides
There's been a cottage industry in connecting these two products over the last couple of years. Data hungry presentation owners with some knowledge of Google Analytics (GA) for web analytics have developed an approach for getting web analytics on your Slides.

GA is one of many audience tracking tools and allows website owners to understand traffic to and on their site, including how long they stay and what they are viewing.   1. Set up Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  2. Enable variables
  3. Create an event tag
  4. Set up a trigger for the event and link them
  5. Repeat for each slide of your presentation
  6. If there are other specific interactions or elements on your slides you wish to track, you will need to create event tags and triggers for these as well
  7. Test thoroughly to ensure events have been set up correctly and data is flowing to your GA reports
  8. Publish changes in GTM

Fair question. GA and GTM are not for the faint hearted. They are complex products for specific users and needs. It's easy to get the configuration wrong and spend quite some time setting up and debugging to get it right.
